The Vast majority of inhaled or ingested foreign bodies are as
results of carelessness. A thorny foreign body (Achyranthus
asprea) was impacted on vocal cord in a young girl which was
removed by direct laryngoscopy using propofol as sole
anaesthetic. There was complete restoration of normal voice
postoperatively.
